Booked for 3 nights in August 23... checked out after first night because it was so poor. Threadbare carpets, bathroom resembles outside toilet, flieson food at breakfast time... not the cleanest I've experienced.
Location is ok. You can go anywhere in Malang start from this hotel. It's very close with many good venues in Malang.But surprisingly when we enter the room, some facilities look old and dirty. My friends in another room said their blanket is dusty and make one of them never stop sneezing.
The breakfast menu is so minimalist, but the taste is ok.
Hotel rates is still reasonable. We get 460K for deluxe rooms.

I was booking a room last minute and after booking I just saw so many bad reviews. But after staying one night here, I believe that some of the bad reviews are undeserved. Yes, indeed the hotel are old. There are scratches on the furniture, hallway carpet looks very old, and wardrobe handle needs replacement, but note that everything is functional. Rooms are clean, hot water and water pressure are fantastic, breakfast are exceptional. Limited menu on the buffet but taste are surprisingly very good (especially the fruit which makes me believe that they selected them carefully 💜). The hotel are located in a strategic location, walking distance to many cafes, kayu tangan road, good restaurant, and alun-alun. Staff are great too.

As far as I can recall, it's one of "old" hotel in this city. Back then, it was prestigious (pretty sure the name was Kartika Graha). But now it's more like less than 3-starred hotel. Restroom is awful. Food tasted like you visit a prasmanan at your friend's wedding party. And the hall, Swarnapaksi, hasn't changed a bit than my last visit in year 2000.
probably the worst hotel we have seen in our lives. everything is dirty. from the ground to the ceiling. we had to change rooms 4 times for problems with insects, mold and dirt. we hesitated to wash ourselves so much the shower is dirty and in a bad state. we even saw (cat?) urine in the refectory during breakfast. all the rooms smell of tobacco, including the non-smoking rooms. the sheets and the beds are dirty, the carpet is full of stains... it is by far the worst room we have slept in all our lives. and yet we are normally more accustomed to hostels than hotels, all over the world. it is scandalous that Agoda and Booking continue to offer rooms even at reduced prices in this type of establishment.
Was searching for nearby hotel because the hotel that we intended to go was fully booked. First thought as a 4star hotel, it was quite cheap. We called first to confirm our booking, the CS told us there was a renovation so it might be quite loud in the day. We were fine with that as we were staying only at night.
But what they didn't tell us is actually the hot water wasn't running so there wasn't any hot water. We were okay because we had no choice as we had booked. As a 4star hotel, this place is extremely bad. The staff is very unfriendly, the room smells like wet socks, the carpet is damp, the bathroom is stained everywhere on the floor, some of the lamps didn't work, no slippers, and the beds smell bad. It's so unfortunate to say it's not recommended
my wife and I decided to stay at this hotel when we were in Malang. when we arrived there was no hospitality from hotel receptionist. I realized maybe they were tired because when we arrived at the hotel it was about 18.00 pm. we had booked a room 1 week before we came to Malang for a superior king bad room but what we got was a twin bad room. I tried to ask for a room change but they said because many communities came first so the superior king bad rooms no more available. however what i regret the most is that he didnt even apologize he just said thank you for understanding. I am confused why always us who have to understand. plus the drains in the sink are broken, the water in the swimming pool wasnt clean too. I paid for 4 stars hotel but what I got was like 2 stars, maybe I've even experienced a 2 star hotel with better service and management so I don't think it's worth it.
